 Workshop On  Shaping The Way We  Teach  English
 Venue :  Bhavan's SL Public School, Amritsar
 Date :  23rd November
 A one day workshop was held in Bhavan's SL Public School. The resource person was Ms Inderpreet Kaur   and it was attended by Ms Anureet,  Ms Isha Sharma,  Ms Vandana, Ms Rupa, Ms Navneet and Ms Sakshi Seth.
 Workshop by INSPIRE
Venue :  DAV College, Amritsar Date:.  22nd Nov., 19 A five days workshop was organised by INSPIRE for the meritorious students in DAV College, Hathi Gate. The resource person was Dr. Anish Dua. Students Of XI and XII  attended the camp. India International Science Fest
(IISF- 2019) Venue :  Biswa Bangla Convention    Centre, Kolkata Date:.  7th & 8th Nov.,19 A science fest was organised by Ministory of Science and  Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences & Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) from 5th Nov. to 8th Nov Vigyan Prashar, an autonomous organisation under the Department of Science and Technology , Govt. of India hosted the programme. Various lectures by renowned persons were given and different ice breaking sessions were there . It was attended by Ms. Ramanpreet Kaur and Ms. Nidhi Duggal
 
 3rd Acharya Sunder Singh Memorial Lecture 

 'The Relevance of Mahatma Gandhi in Present Times'

In continuation to Acharya Sunder Singh Memorial Lecture Series, Prof. Dr. Harish Puri (Former Head of the Dept. of Political Science and Dr. Ambedkar Studies, GNDU) was invited as a Guest Speaker at Shri Ram Ashram Public School. The programme formally commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the esteemed Guest Dr. Harish Puri, Mrs V Puri-Former Principal of DAV Public School Lawrence Road, the School President, Shri Balbir Bajaj, the Educational Advisor, Sh. S.N. Joshi and  Principal, Mrs. Vinodita Sankhyan.

A humble tribute to Acharya Sunder Singh ji, the founder Principal of the school , was paid by singing bhajans from 'Ashram Geetanjali'.

A documentary Film was shown depicting life Spectrum of Acharya   Sunder Singh ji. He was a legendary nationalist who resigned his lucrative Govt. job of District Inspector of Schools under the British rule, to impart education to Indians with only 7 students and founded Shri Ram Educational Society in 1923 in response to  Non-Cooperation Movement of Gandhi Ji and the Jallian Wala Bagh Tragedy to meet the challenges of British Colonial system and to promote the spirit of nationalism among the students.

Dr. Harish Puri  spoke on the topic, 'The Relevance of Mahatma Gandhi in Present Times'. He shared that, 'Mahatma' 'Gandhi' — these two words conjure up images of one man’s greatness and sacrifice to achieve the happiness of millions. He is one such icon who is loved and respected by people across the globe Mahatma Gandhi loved underprivileged and even those who fought against his ideals to bring about peace. His vision was to establish a society free of hatred, jealousy, violence and inequality. 

He spoke of Gandhi with relevance to economic growth, National development quotient, legal justice, soulful politics, exemplifying life styles of the majority and gave a new perspective to luxury, needs and thought processes.Dr. Puri's lecture was simple and subtle, with touches of humour which directly impressed upon the audiences the need to wake up and take a lead to improve the social environment.

The School Magazine ‘Lakshay’ which comprised of three themes; celebrating 550th Prakash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev ji, 150th Gandhi Jayanti and glorious 20 years of School's Completion was released by the present dignitaries.

The programme concluded with National Anthem.

Capacity Building Programme on Joyful Mathematics

Venue : DAV Public School, Patiala

Date : 7th & 8th Aug, 19

A two day workshop was conducted with an aim to make mathematics a joyful subject rather a dull and dry subject. The resource persons were Mr. A.P Chawla and Mr. Vishal Kataria. It was attended by Ms. Pooja Lakhanpal and Ms. Kavita Joshi. It was mainly for senior classes.

 Workshop on Childhood Depression

Venue : Hotel Mount View, Sector 10, Chandigarh

Date : 26th July, 2019

A one day workshop on ‘Childhood Depression’ was organised by ICTRC. The resouirce persons were Prof. Keshav Singh and Dr. Ravindran. It was attended by Ms. Vandana Malhotra, Ms. Megha, Ms. Anureet and Ms. Rishbi. The teachers were told about the symptoms and causes of childhood depression

A Motivational Talk by Swami Abhedananda ji

On 23rd July 2019, Shri Ram Ashram Public School organized a motivational talk in its campus on the topic ‘Born To Succeed’ by Swami Abhedananda Ji of Chinmaya Mission, South Africa to enlighten the young minds with his revolutionary thoughts. Around 400 students of IX & X keenly attended it. With his great oratory skills and expert knowledge from day to day life experiences, he inspired the students to be good human beings and get success in their careers.

The magnanimous personality was given a floral welcome by the Manager-cum-Educational Advisor, Sh. S.N. Joshi  and Principal Ms. Vinodita Sankhyan followed by auspicious lamp lighting. Joshi  introduced Swami Ji as a Spiritual Master who transformed many lives with his inspiring words and illuminating thoughts; took initiative to serve humanity at large and also led many campaigns for social causes.

 

Widely travelled Swami Ji illustrated about various secrets of success and essence of life. He advised the students to live happily, not to be  passive takers, to think big, to love and respect all, to promote selfless love, not to be angry and above all to serve their parents by spending quality time with them. He also emphasized the fact that one’s energy should be channelized in positive way and awaken the hidden power in order to succeed in life.

 
World Asthma Day

Venue : Shri Ram Ashram Public School

Date : 14th May, 2019

Shri Ram Ashram Public School organized a seminar on ‘World Asthma Day’ to increase awareness about this chronic respiratory disease’ Asthma’, its precautions and preventions. Dr Naresh Grover, a pediatrician was the resource person. He had an informative talk in which he apprised the various ways and means of controlling the disease.

 In continuation to Acharya Sunder Singh Memorial Lecture Series, proud alumnus Padam Shri Sushil Gupta, President Nominee Rotary International (2020-2021) was invited at Shri Ram Ashram Public School. The Chief Guest was given a floral welcome by the School Management.

The Students of class VII, VIII and IX paid a humble tribute to Acharya Sunder Singh ji, the founding Principal of the school by performing a short play on his life spectrum. Acharya Sunder Singh, was a legendary nationalist who resigned his lucrative Govt. job of District Inspector of Schools to establish and serve the institution on honorary basis He was a veteran educator, a coach by heart who was committed to build a strong education system in India.

Padam Shri Sushil Gupta paid homage to such a noble soul. He appreciated the enthralling performance presented by the students. In his lecture on the topic ‘What Life Has Taught Me’, he shared the momentous journey of his life and experiences. He taught that the truth and honesty are the only keys to form one’s character. He also expressed his gratitude to be a part of this gala event. President of the school, Sh. Balbir Bajaj ji said that Acharya ji was a real visionary who had just one aim i.e. to enlighten young minds for the growth of the society. 


Interactive Session by Sh. Shiv Kumar Verma ji

 Venue : Shri Ram Ashram Public School

Date : 8th Dec, 2018

With a view to enrich young minds, an Interactive Session was organized at Shri Ram Ashram Public School under the patronage of Principal Ms. Vinodita Sankhyan. Sh. Shiv Kumar Verma ji, an alumnus from 1950 batch was the special guest who with his vast experiences and dignified stature enlightened the young ashramites of classes IX-X.

Talking about the importance of achieving something great in life, he exhorted the students to think out of the box and believe in what they are doing. He further laid stress on incorporating meditation and yoga in their daily schedule  as these practices are stress burners and reduce anxiety and tension.


Workshop on Stress Management to Explore Potential

Venue : Shri Ram Ashram Public School

Shri Ram Ashram Public School conducted a workshop on Stress Management to Explore Potential for the students of class IX, X, XI. Ms. Jaswinder Kaur was the resource person who introduced the term ‘Potential’ and explained the various stages of meditation. She illustrated the ways to keep our body, mind and soul intact for their respective functions. 



Workshop on Capacity Building Programme for Career Guidance

Venue : Mt. Litra Zee School, Loharka Road, Amritsar

Date : 11th Nov to 12th Nov, 2018

A two-days workshop on ‘Capacity Building Programme for Career Guidance’ was organised in Mt. Litra Zee School on 11th and 12th Nov, 2018 in which two teachers of our School ( Ms. Aparna Sharma and Ms. Sonia Ahuja ) took part.

Dr. Chand Trehan was the resource person who explained the term ‘career’ and also explained the role of a teacher as a counsellor and a guide. The workshop proved to be very informative.Workshop on ‘How Music is Beneficial for students’

A workshop on ‘How Music is Beneficial for students’ was held in Shri Guru Harkrishan International School on 15th Oct, 2018 which was attended by Mr. Inderjit, Ms. Atika and Ms. Lovedeep, the music teachers of Shri Ram Ashram Public School. The workshop proved to be very informative and interesting.

Workshop on Learners Motivation

Venue : D.A.V International School.

A workshop on Learners Motivation was organized in D.A.V International School on 6th Oct, 2018 in which the teachers of Shri Ram Ashram Public School - Ms. Vandana (Eng), Ms. Shivani (Eng) took part.  In this workshop, the resource person  Mr. Kaplesh Amin involved the teachers in so many activities. They were given tasks to improve their teaching skills. It was worth attending workshop.

Workshop on Skill Development

 A Workshop on Skill Development was held in Shri Ram Ashram Public School on 4th Oct, 2018 which was attended by the students of classes IX and X. Dr. Gaurav was the resource person over there. He told the students that communication plays an important role in every individual’s life. He also explained that self talk is very important because communication starts from self. Thus through this workshop, the students gained very useful information.

Workshop on Life Skills

Venue : Spring Dale Senior Sec School, Fatehgarh Churian Road, Asr

Date : 15th September, 2018

A workshop on ‘Demystifying Emotional Intelligence (Life Skills)’ was organised in Spring Dale Senior Sec School, Amritsar on 15th September, 2018 which was attended by the teachers (Ms. Vandana Malhotra, Ms. Anjali, Ms. Karan Diana and Ms. Sarita) of Shri Ram Ashram Public School. Ms. Meenakshi Soi was the resource person. The workshop was very educative and insightful

Workshop on Gender Sensitivity

Venue : Vivek Public School, Airport Road, Amritsar.

Date : 15th September, 2018

A workshop was conducted on the topic ‘Gender Sensitivity’ in Vivek Public School, Amritsar which was attended by Ms. Neena Sharma, Ms. Rupa Nagpal, Ms. Navneet Kaur, Ms. Amarjeet Kaur and Ms. Poonam Bhalla ( teachers of Shri Ram Ashram Public School ). Ms. Dapinder Kaur ( Principal Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Majitha By-pass, Asr ) was the resource person over there. Different activities and role play were performed. It was really a very informative workshop and all had a wonderful experience

Workshop on ‘Gender Senstivity’

A workshop on the topic ‘Gender Sensitivity’ was attended by the teachers of Shri Ram Ashram Public School on 11th Aug, 2018. Ms. Dapinder Kaur (Principal Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Majitha Road, Bye-Pass) was the resource person. Different activities were performed there. The workshop was really very interactive and informative.
