Students accompanied by teachers Ms. Monika Khindri and Ms. Kanu gained an enriching learning experience related to sustainable innovation during an educational visit to Agro Stubble Management Pvt. Ltd., Gurdaspur. The objective of the visit was to sensitize students towards environmental protection and to familiarize them with practical solutions to the growing problem of stubble burning. During the visit, students learned that agricultural waste stubble, which is generally burnt and causes severe air pollution, can be scientifically processed for usage. The plant owner, Mr. Parminder Singh, explained that the products are fire-resistant, water-resistant, durable, and cost-effective, making them a viable alternative materials. President Sh. Balbir Bajaj stated that to promote sustainability such guidance and exposure visits are highly beneficial for future. Principal Dr. Vinodita Sankhyan appreciated the efforts of Agro Stubble Management Pvt. Ltd. for guiding students and motivating them to become environmentally responsible. She emphasized that such experiential learning activities shall shape environmental consciousness and social responsibility in students. Convener of the School Innovation Council, Dr. Sanjay Mahajan, remarked that the students showed keen interest in this initiative and appreciated how waste materials can be transformed into useful resources through innovation and technology. He added that the visit not only enhanced students’ understanding of sustainable development but also encouraged creative thinking towards waste management and environmental conservation.
